A prominent Turkish DJ, Koray Alpergin, was kidnapped and savagely beaten to death in a central London restaurant in October 2022, a court has heard. The shocking details emerged during the trial of two men accused of involvement in the horrific crime.
Alpergin, a well-known figure in the community with connections to celebrities, was walking home with his girlfriend, Gozde Dalbudak, after a night out in Mayfair. They were ambushed by a group of men, possibly as many as eight, who had been tracking Alpergin’s car with a hidden device.
Alpergin was forcefully bundled into a van, while Dalbudak was threatened with a knife and taken into a separate vehicle. She was then held captive for nearly two days in a locked toilet at a restaurant called Stadium Lounge, located near Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium.

Meanwhile, Alpergin suffered a horrific ordeal inside the restaurant. The prosecution alleges he was tortured for hours, sustaining numerous injuries including broken ribs, head wounds, and burns. Tragically, the severity of the abuse suggests he wouldn’t have survived for more than a few hours.
Alpergin’s body was eventually dumped naked in woods in Essex, where it was discovered by a dog walker.
The trial is currently underway, with two suspects, Isay Stoyanov and Dylan Weatherley, facing charges of murder, kidnapping, and false imprisonment. Four others were previously convicted for their role in the abduction, while two more suspects remain at large.
The motive behind the brutal attack remains unclear. The prosecution suggests Alpergin may have been aware of the danger beforehand, possibly due to the car noises he mentioned to a friend. The trial continues to unfold, with the hope of bringing justice for Alpergin and his traumatized girlfriend.
