Ibrahim Abdullahi, the alleged architect of the Abuja-Kaduna train passenger killings, also known as Mandi, has been captured by the police.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced the arrest on Thursday.
Remember the assault on the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, 2022, where approximately 14 individuals were slain and 63 were officially reported kidnapped.
This incident prompted the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) to halt operations temporarily, while former President Muhammadu Buhari ordered security forces to secure the victims’ release. The victims were eventually freed in stages, six months following the event.

Adejobi, confirming Mandi’s capture, disclosed to the press that the suspect was also involved in the 2021 kidnapping of students from Greenfield University.
During Mandi’s apprehension, the police confiscated 48 AK-47 rifles and are currently striving to determine his weapons supplier and sponsor.
