Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has pledged to crack down on drug peddlers, attributing rising insecurity in the state to drug abuse.
The governor emphasized that the recent attacks and destruction in Mangu Local Government Area were reflective of the behavior of drug-induced youths.
He expressed determination to end the illicit drug trade, stating that the state would not tolerate it any longer.
Governor Mutfwang urged citizens to be vigilant and warned those supporting criminals that the administration would take measures to keep external aggressors out and deal with internal collaborators.
The governor visited affected communities and empathized with victims, vowing to address the drug menace and insecurity in the state.
