Shamsiyya Ahadu and Accomplice Apprehended
On Saturday, December 28, troops from Operation Fansan Yanma’s 1st Brigade apprehended 25-year-old Shamsiyya Ahadu in Zamfara State, suspected of supplying logistics to terrorist activities. The arrest was made following actionable intelligence concerning her movements.
Details of the Arrest at Shinkafi Checkpoint
Ahadu was caught alongside her accomplice, Ahmed Husaini, at a checkpoint on the road from Kware to Badarawa within Shinkafi Local Government Area. The arrest was facilitated by a timely roadblock set up by the troops in response to the intelligence.
Contraband Seized
According to Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordinating Centre for Operation Fansan Yamma, Ahadu was found carrying 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and six magazines, which were intended for delivery to the camp of notorious terrorist leader, Bello Turji.
