Telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria has revealed the cause of the current poor network services being experienced by millions of its customers across the country.
CRUX NEWS observed that many customers were unable to receive nor make calls with their lines ,while data services were also disrupted on Wednesday.
But the company in a notice released through its official X handle confirmed that the outage was caused by a series of fibre cuts , assuring that officials are working towards resolving it.
The notice reads, ” Dear Customer,You have been experiencing challenges connecting to the network due to a major service outage caused by multiple fibre cuts, affecting voice and data services.
” Our engineers are working hard to resolve with services gradually being restored in some areas.
” We apologise for the inconvenience and ask for your patience & understanding as the team works to restore full service as soon as possible.”
