Ahead of the Super Eagles World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, former coach of the Super Falcons, Godwin Izilein has expressed concern about the team’s goalkeeping situation.
However, he believes that the issue can be resolved with confidence building and continuous learning.
Izilein emphasized the importance of creating confidence in the goalkeepers and letting them know that they are the best.
He also recommended trying out other hands in the department of the team, including goalkeepers from the local league.
Izilein advised the Super Eagles players to play intelligently and cohesively and to focus on teamwork rather than individual play.
He also stressed the importance of protecting whoever is in the goalpost.
