Ahead of the Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday, it appears that Francis Uzoho, the 24-year-old goalkeeper, will be back in action.
Uzoho missed the game against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in June due to suspension, leading to Adebayo Adeleye taking on the role of goalkeeper in that encounter.
However, according to a reliable source within the Super Eagles’ camp, Uzoho is expected to make a return to the goalpost for the upcoming match.

Uzoho’s experience and proven track record make him a strong contender for the position. He has previously made 27 appearances for the Super Eagles and, therefore, has an edge over Adeleye and Ojo Olorunleke of Enyimba.
All things being equal, Uzoho’s return to the pitch will undoubtedly boost the Super Eagles’ chances of securing a win against the True Patriots.
The team and their fans will be hoping that he can replicate his past performances and contribute to the team’s progress in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
