Results from yesterday’s governorship election in Imo State show that candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and incumbent governor, Hope Uzodimma is leading in all 27 local government areas of the state.
The results are being unveiled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Returning Officer, Abayomi Fasina, at the INEC’s office, in Owerri, on Sunday, it appears to be a landslide victory.
The returning has requested a break after which he will re-convene to announce the final results and declare a winner.
The governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and of the Labour Party, LP, Senator Athan Achonu were trailing behind Uzodinma.
