In a London courtroom, Urfan Sharif, aged 43, and his wife, Beinash Batool, 30, received life sentences for the murder of their daughter, Sara Sharif. The 10-year-old British-Pakistani girl suffered from an extended period of “despicable abuse,” which ultimately led to her death.
Sentencing and Court Outcome
At the Old Bailey, the judge handed down the sentences, specifying that Sharif would serve a minimum of 40 years, while Batool would spend at least 33 years behind bars. This ruling came after Sara’s body was discovered in a shocking state, showing evidence of bites, bruises, multiple fractures, and burns.
