Paul Onuachu, the Super Eagles’ forward player, is set to join French Ligue 1 team Metz on loan for the entire season after both clubs agreed to the terms of the deal.
This move comes after Georges Mikautadze, who recently left for Dutch club Ajax, left a void in the team that Onuachu is expected to fill.

Despite failing to make an impact in the 12 appearances he made for Southampton after joining them from Belgian Pro League team KRC Genk, Onuachu has a proven track record as a prolific goal scorer, having scored 85 goals in 134 appearances for the Belgian club.
This loan deal presents a great opportunity for Onuachu to showcase his abilities and prove his worth to Metz as they aim to achieve their goals for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
