President Bola Tinubu hosted members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for a Ramadan Iftar.
The event took place in the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa and was attended by the Ministers of Information and National Orientation, Housing, FCT, Transportation, Youth, as well as service chiefs.
The tradition of breaking fast during Ramadan at the Aso Rock Villa, the residence of Nigeria’s Presidents since 1999, was upheld.
The evening began with the Maghrib prayer, led by the Villa’s Chief Imam, Malam Abdulwahid Suleiman. Following the prayer, President Tinubu led the guests to the banquet, which typically lasts an hour before the Isha night prayer.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is observed by adult Muslims who fast from dawn to dusk for 29 or 30 days.
