Departure from Abuja for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week
President Bola Tinubu left Abuja at 6:30 PM on Saturday, heading to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).
Invitation by UAE President
The trip was initiated by an invitation from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, focusing on the theme ‘The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress.’
Focus on Global Sustainable Development
The summit, scheduled from January 12 to 18, aims to convene leaders from around the world to discuss and accelerate sustainable development. According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the event will facilitate dialogues among policymakers, business leaders, and civil society to explore strategies for advancing a sustainable economy and fostering a new era of prosperity.

Marking over 15 years of annual gatherings, ADSW has established itself as a significant platform for multi-stakeholder cooperation, tackling global challenges and promoting growth through sustainable practices.
