President Bola Tinubu has responded to a viral video showing him tripping at Eagle Square in Abuja on Wednesday, humorously stating that democracy is worth falling for.
During the 2024 Democracy Day event, Tinubu missed a step while climbing onto a vehicle for the parade but quickly regained his balance and continued with the day’s activities. Addressing the incident, Tinubu joked that he had only “dobale” – a Yoruba term for paying homage – to democracy.
“I ‘dobale’ for democracy,” Tinubu quipped, highlighting his dedication to the democratic process.
