President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Wednesday, December 18, for his Christmas and New Year celebrations. The President landed at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport at precisely 3:23 pm.

Upon arrival, he was greeted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy Dr. Femi Hamzat, members of the Lagos State Cabinet, and key figures from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos.
Legislative Activities Before Departure
Before his journey to Lagos, President Tinubu had presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly. He emphasized that the budget, amounting to N47.9 trillion, would significantly invest in sectors like security, defense, infrastructure, health, and education.

Before traveling to Lagos, the President had earlier presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill, tagged “The Restoration Budget,” to a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja. The budget, which totals N47.9 trillion, emphasizes key sectors such as defence, infrastructure, health, and education.
In his 30-minute address to lawmakers, Tinubu outlined the significant allocations:
- Defence and Security: N4.91 trillion
- Infrastructure: N4.06 trillion
- Health: N2.4 trillion
- Education: N3.5 trillion
