Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has given a detailed explanation regarding the differing punishments given to Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho for their respective infractions.
According to Ten Hag, Rashford was included in the United squad for their Premier League match against Wolves on Thursday, following his conversation with the manager on Monday.
He contributed in their 4-3 against Wolves, scoring a goal.
Rashford had gone on an ill-advised excursion to Belfast last week, which led to him being temporarily suspended from the team.
On the other hand, Sancho has been sent back to his previous club Borussia Dortmund on loan, after publicly questioning Ten Hag’s decision to withdraw him from the squad for a game against Arsenal in September.

Sancho was also made to train alone for more than four months, while Rashford was allowed to train with his teammates on Monday.
Ten Hag explained that the reason for the differing approach was Sancho’s decision to make his grievances public.
He had made a now-deleted remark on X, formerly Twitter, which Ten Hag believed could have been resolved internally.
The manager emphasized that any issues within the team should be addressed internally and that going public could result in more severe consequences.
