The prices of premium motor spirit, popularly known as petrol rise again on Tuesday, causing shocks among Nigerians in the aftermath of the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.
Motorists in Abuja woke up to a new product rate of N617 in some NNPCL stations against N539 same product was sold a day earlier.
News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that a visit to an NNPC filling station in the Central Area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, by its reporter confirmed that the meter has now been adjusted from N539 to N617 per litre.

A customer also confirmed this development to Newsmen, “It is true, I just bought at N617 per liter,” he said.
The immediate reason could not be ascertained but it is connected to the recent projections by oil marketers that fuel price will hit N700 per litre soon.
The Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) is yet to make comments.
