Vice President Kashim Shettima has left Abuja for Dallas, USA, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit.
The summit, hosted by the Corporate Council on Africa, will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
Shettima will join political and business leaders from Africa and the US for dialogues, networking, and plenaries.
African leaders attending include Presidents Joseph Boakai of Liberia, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, Joao Lourenço of Angola, Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana, José Maria Neves of Cabo Verde, and Deputy Prime Minister Nthomeng Majara of Lesotho.

Shettima will speak at sessions like the Roundtable on African Infrastructure Investment and a plenary on Navigating Africa’s Energy Future. He’ll also address agribusiness transition and chair a session on the ‘Invest in Nigeria’ initiative.
This participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to US economic ties and investment opportunities. Shettima aims to showcase Nigeria’s growth potential, attract investors, and forge partnerships. He will return to Nigeria after the summit’s conclusion.
