Udinese Football Club has recently announced the appointment of Gabriele Cioffi as their new manager, succeeding Andrea Sottil in the role.
After a poor start to the season, which saw Udinese placed third from the bottom in the standings after nine games, the club decided to part ways with Sottil.
In an official statement, the club expressed their satisfaction with the appointment of Cioffi as the new first-team coach.
It revealed that he has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2024, with an option for an additional season.
Cioffi’s return to Udinese as manager is not his first stint with the club, having previously managed the team during the 2021-22 campaign.
He was also the manager of Hellas Verona in 2022 but was sacked after the opening nine league games.
With his wealth of experience in managing football clubs, Udinese will be hoping that Cioffi can turn the club’s fortunes around and lead them to a successful season.
