The Plateau State Police Command has beefed up security at the State House Assembly complex.
The development is coming on the heels of the alleged movement by the 16 former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, lawmakers to resume sitting today despite their sack by the Appeal Court.
However, at the time of this report, none of the PDP or APC lawmakers have arrived at the temporary Chamber of the Old Government House to commence plenary.
Armed policemen were deployed to Old Government House Jos venue of the sitting as early as 5 am.
The security personnel were said to have been deployed as a proactive measure against any invasion of the sitting by hoodlums.
There are also fears about a clash between the 16 PDP lawmakers sacked by the Court of Appeal and All Progressives Congress, APC, lawmakers declared winner by the Court.
