The FCT Police Command has arrested 32-year-old Muhammad Abel who hailed from Kogi State for kidnapping in the FCT.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Sunday said operatives, in a continued effort to rid FCT of criminality, rescued another kidnapped victim, one Suleiman Sabo from kidnappers in Sauka, along Airport Road in Abuja.
Adeh said police operatives attached to Iddo Divisional Headquarters carried out the operation on Sunday 21st January 2023, at about 1130hrs.
The FCT police spokesperson said, “One Muhammad Abel ‘m’ aged 32 from Kogi state was equally apprehended and one (1) LAR rifle with ten (10) rounds of life ammunition recovered from him.”
She added that the victim who sustained some injuries from the kidnappers, is currently receiving medical attention, and would be reunited with his family once certified fit by the medical team.
