Governor Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom warmly welcomed Senate President Godswill Akpabio on a courtesy visit to the Government House on Friday, May 3. This marked Akpabio’s first visit to the Governor’s Lodge in approximately 10 years since leaving office.
Taking to his X handle on Monday, May 6, Governor Eno shared photos of the visit, expressing gratitude for the honor of hosting Senator Akpabio, the President of the 10th Senate, in Akwa Ibom State.
Senator Akpabio’s visits preceded his official reception by Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, which took place on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Governor Eno remarked on the pleasure of engaging in constructive discussions with distinguished leaders like Senator Akpabio, highlighting the senator’s wealth of knowledge and love for his people.
On Saturday, May 4, Senator Akpabio was honored by the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District at a ceremony held at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium. Akpabio previously served as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2015.
