On the first day of Paris Fashion Week, twelve French Olympic athletes took to the runway to showcase their specially designed kit for the upcoming Olympics.
The sportswear was designed by Stephane Ashpool and was presented at the headquarters of the French Olympic Committee.
The kit includes the athletes’ village uniform with a vintage 1990s vibe, as well as the training and competition outfits provided by the French brand Le Coq Sportif.
According to Ashpool, the outfit was the result of a two-year project and is a perfect blend of blue, white, and red colours.
The athletes themselves expressed their desire to look chic, elegant, and bright, and the designer was able to incorporate their wishes into the final product.
The CRUX NEWS reports that the Paris Olympics is scheduled to be held from July 26th to August 11th.
