The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has praised his daughter, Princess Adeola Ogunwusi, on her 30th birthday, playfully reminding her to “bring a husband to daddy.”
Taking to Instagram to celebrate, the Ooni prayed for God’s continued presence in her life.
He reminisced about past advice: at 10, he spoke of school and her future; at 20, he emphasized morals and well-being. Now at 30, he jests about marriage.
His message read: “Princess Adeola, Aanuoluwapo, Atutunini, Bamdefe Ogunwusi, Omo Ojaja II. I am deeply thankful for the joyous life you’ve led. May the Almighty God remain with you in all you do. Amen!
“At 10, your father discussed education and what lies ahead. At 20, he advised on the significance of ethics and health, as you embraced independence.
“Now, as you turn 30, you’ve blossomed into adulthood. Your father perceives your desire for autonomy.
“I imparted wisdom at 10 and noticed your growing independence. At 20, your quest for self-reliance was clear. Now at 30, I speak to an adult—time to find a husband, my dear…
“Affectionately, from the throne of Oduduwa.”
