Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard has recently signed a new five-year contract, extending his stay until 2028.
The Norwegian midfielder initially joined the Gunners on loan from Real Madrid in January 2021, before signing a permanent four-year deal in August 2021, with the option to extend for another year.
Odegaard has made 112 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, scoring 27 goals and providing 15 assists.
Odegaard expressed his excitement and appreciation for the club, saying that he found a place where he could be settled and call his home.
He thanked everyone working at the club and the supporters, promising to continue giving everything to bring success to the team in the years to come.
Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, also shared his happiness for Odegaard’s new deal, saying that it’s great news for the club and the team.

Arteta also praised Odegaard’s character and leadership skills, highlighting his importance as a captain.
Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu, also expressed his delight at extending Odegaard’s contract, stating that he is an experienced international who gives the team so much quality and joy every time he plays.
Edu added that there is still much more to come from Odegaard, and he is pleased to have him on board for the forthcoming years.
