The election of Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was on Friday sustained by the Supreme Court as governor of Delta State.
The apex court in affirming Oborevwori’s victory in the March 2023 governorship election, dismissed the appeal by the candidate of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
A five-member panel of the Supreme Court ruled Omo-Agege and the APC failed to prove the election was conducted without substantial compliance with the Electoral Act.
