The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the interception of two trailers suspected of transporting vandalized railway slippers in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State. Commandant Joachim Okafor made this revelation during a press briefing held in his office on Friday.
According to Okafor, the command’s anti-vandal squad, acting on intelligence, conducted the seizure along Mokwa road in Niger State. Upon noticing the presence of the officers, the drivers hastily fled the scene, abandoning the trucks. The command suspects that the drivers are associated with the illicit activity.
He further stated that an investigation is currently underway to uncover the owner of the trailers and the origin of the vandalized railway slippers.

The state commandant emphasized that perpetrators of economic sabotage should cease using Niger as a transit point. He assured the public that the command remains committed to responding to information provided by citizens to apprehend and prosecute criminals.
