History is indeed a reflection of the past, and a teacher for the future. It is often said that history is a mirror into the past; successies and failures, studying the past would save us from repeating past mistakes and enduring avoidable tragedies.
According to Aristotle: “History is an account of the unchanging past.” It means an integrated, objective record of unchangeable past events.

1. Miriam Makemba die
On this day in 2008, Famous South African singer and civil rights activist, Zenzile Miriam Makemba, popularly known as Mama Africa died. She was an advocate against apartheid and white-minority government in South Africa.
2. Coal Mine Explosion In Miike, Japan
On this day in 1963, a camp mine in Miike Japan. The carbon monoxide that was created by explosions spread throughout the entire mine, creating a disastrous poisoning situation. Twenty people were killed by the direct effects of the explosions, but 438 died from acute carbon monoxide poisoning, and 839 suffered the after-effects of poisoning.
According to reports 1,197 of the 1,403 workers in the mine at the time were either killed by the explosions or suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. There is to date no other coal-mine accident in the world that has produced such a large number of casualties.
3. Myanmar Train Blast
On this day in 2012, a train carrying liquid fuel, from Yangon to the Kachin state capital, crashes and bursts into flames in northern Myanmar. The blast killed 27 people and injuring 80 others.
4. Albert Einstein Won Nobel Prize For Physics
On this day in 1922, Albert Einstein won the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photo-electric effect. The committee delayed awarding the prize in 1921.
The photo-electric effect remains important for research in areas from materials science to astrophysics, as well as forming the basis for a variety of useful devices.
5. Cambodia Gained Independence
On this day in 1953, Cambodia, whose capital city is Phnom Penh gained Independence from France. The country is located in South-East Asia and bordered by Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.
6. Suicide Bomber Attacked Hotels in Amman Jordan
On this day in 2005, there were series of coordinated suicide bomb attacks on three hotel lobbies in Amman, Jordan. The explosions occurred at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Radisson SAS Hotel, and the Days Inn with all three hotels being frequented by foreign diplomats.
The bomb at the Radisson SAS exploded in the Philadelphia Ballroom, where a Palestinian wedding hosting hundreds of guests was taking place. The attacks killed 57 people and injured 115 others.
