1. Birth Of Nigerian Nationalist, Herbert Macaulay
On this day in 1864, the Nigerian Nationalist Herbert Macaulay was born.
The late Nationalist, born Olayinka Herbert Samuel Heelas Badmus Macaulay was a politician, surveyor, engineer, architect, journalist, and musician and is considered by many Nigerians as the founder of Nigerian nationalism.
He created the first political party in Nigeria; Nigerian National Democratic Party. He is the grandchild of the renowned Bishop Ajayi Crowther and the great-grandfather of the brave nationalist, Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh who curbed the spread of Ebola Virus in Nigeria.
