The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended nine individuals in Sokoto State for manufacturing and selling pillows filled with used diapers and sanitary pads.
The state’s Commandant, Bello Alkali Argungun, revealed that the arrest was made based on intelligence reports.
The suspects allegedly utilized small children to collect the discarded items, which were then used to fill pillowcases bearing logos of well-known foam companies.
The NSCDC is taking action against this illicit activity.
