Trailing behind South Africa and Kenya with 564 score, Nigeria now ranked third best English-speaking nation in Africa and 28th globally.
The ranking of English skills by the Education First English Proficiency Index EF EPI website, disclosed that Nigeria emerged at the position from the 2022 English Proficiency Index ranking.
The EF EPI examined 111 countries and regions.

South Africa and Kenya ranked first and second in Africa and 12th and Kenya 20th in global positions.
Twenty African countries were examined alongside Nigeria in the Education First English Proficiency Index.
EF EPI ranks countries by the equity of English language skills amongst adults who took the EF test.
The ranking in the 2022 edition was calculated using test data from 2.1 million test takers in 2021.
In order to be included, for the EF EPI ranking, a country is required to have at least 400 test takers.
