The Impressions club secured their first victory at the ongoing 2023 Nigeria Basketball Premier League after defeating the Invaders of Ekiti 73-65 at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan on Wednesday.
Prior to the game, they had suffered two consecutive losses to Oluyole Warriors and Ebun Comets on Sunday and Monday respectively.
CRUX NEWS reports that on the same Match Day 4, Ebun Comets of Lagos registered their third win in four matches by beating Ondo Raiders 67-44.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), seven clubs are participating in the competition at the Ibadan Centre of the Atlantic Conference of the league.
The other two clubs competing at the Ibadan Centre alongside the Impressions are Hoops and Reads and Kwara Falcons.

He noted that his team is made up of young and inexperienced players and that their loss to Ebun Comets on Monday was due to the Comets’ experience.
However, he expressed optimism that his team would improve significantly in the next two years, adding that their win against the Invaders would serve as a morale booster for the team.
On his part, Olusola Aluko, the head coach of Ondo Raiders, said that their loss to Ebun Comets the previous day had taken its toll on his players, some of whom were feeling tired and fatigued.
He added that playing one game every day for four consecutive days had been strenuous for his team.
He also acknowledged the technical prowess of the Ebun Comets, coached by the legendary Ayo Bakare.
He expressed his delight at having played against Bakare’s team, which he said had helped him to tap from Bakare’s knowledge of basketball.
The competition will resume on Thursday, with Ondo Raiders taking on Oluyole Warriors, Impressions facing Hoops and Reads, and Kwara Falcons facing the Invaders.
