Sixty suspects, including 25 males and 35 females, were arrested at a drug party in Abuja, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) reported on Sunday.
The arrests were made on Friday night in the nation’s capital after credible intelligence led authorities to a drug party organized by Stanley Ikechukwu, who was apprehended at the venue.
The event, named “Go Hard or Go Home. Pick Your Poison,” took place at an apartment in Sun City Estate in the FCT.
NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, disclosed in a statement that six of the suspects—Victoria Adoga, Hamza Yari, Joanne Essein Joy, Socchima Valentine, Jago Imole, and Charles Indobuibisi—were found with various quantities of ecstasy and cannabis.
The Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has ordered the unconditional release of 20 suspects who tested negative for drugs.

Meanwhile, 33 others who tested positive for illicit drugs have been released on bail and are required to report to the FCT Command of the Agency on Monday for treatment and counseling.
In a separate operation in Edo State, NDLEA operatives apprehended four suspects in a deep forest in Ugun, Igueben Local Government Area.
During the raid, officers destroyed 18,632.22 kilograms of cannabis cultivated on 7.45 hectares of farmland.
The suspects were identified as Endurance Okon (24), Joseph Michael (23), Ovoco Bright (43), and Goday Abanum (23).
