The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Jatau, distributed 350 bags of 7.5kg rice and 350 bags of 7.5kg millet to his constituents in the Kokona Local Government Area on Monday. Additionally, he donated N2 million in cash as a form of relief.
He stated, “I have distributed 35 bags of rice, 35 bags of millet, and N150,000 to each of the six wards within my Kokona West constituency. In a gesture of solidarity, I have also provided 10 bags of rice, 10 bags of millet, and N50,000 to each of the five wards in Kokona East, which is represented by my younger brother, Hon. Daniel Ogazi.”
Furthermore, he mentioned allocating rice, millet, and funds to the executive members of the All-Progressives Congress, the People’s Democratic Party, the Social Democratic Party, as well as to security personnel and other key figures.
Jatau has committed to continuing the provision of jobs and empowerment for the constituents of Kokona Local Government Area as a dividend of democracy.
“I have accomplished this in the past; I am doing it presently, and with God’s grace, I will persist in providing foodstuffs and other benefits of democracy to my constituents.
“My actions aim to enhance the living standards of the Kokona Local Government Area people, in line with the spirit of Easter and Eid-el-Fitri celebrations,” he stated.
Jatau urged the beneficiaries not to sell the rice or millet but to utilize them to better their living standards.
He expressed gratitude to the constituents who voted him into the legislature and to Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental work in Nasarawa State.
He called on his constituents to continue praying for and supporting Gov. Sule’s administration to ensure success and to foster unity and peace for the state’s comprehensive development.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the speaker for his kind act and prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon him. They also pledged their unwavering loyalty and support.
