The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has raised an alert regarding the distribution of counterfeit condoms in various parts of the country. According to NAFDAC, these fake condoms, which are not manufactured under regulated health standards, pose significant risks to public health, including the potential spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unplanned pregnancies.
NAFDAC advises consumers to be vigilant when purchasing condoms and to verify product authenticity by checking for approved NAFDAC registration numbers on the packaging. The agency is intensifying efforts to locate and remove these counterfeit products from the market and warns that anyone involved in their production or distribution will face legal action.

Consumers are urged to report any suspicious or unregistered products to NAFDAC through their official hotline or website to aid in curbing the spread of these harmful counterfeit items.
