MURIC argues that the film’s depiction of the niqab—traditionally worn by some Muslim women as a form of modesty—perpetuates harmful stereotypes and fosters Islamophobia.
According to MURIC, the film’s portrayal is deeply offensive and represents a troubling escalation of anti-Muslim sentiments in media.
