The MTV VMAs have attracted some of the biggest names in music this year, and we have all the updates from the pink carpet.
The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ is buzzing with excitement, as huge stars like Megan Thee Stallion, who will perform with Cardi B later in the night, arrive for the event.
They will perform their brand-new hit, “Bongos.”
Saweetie looked pretty in pink as she entered the stadium, and MTV’s iconic Moon Man mascot even showed up to the party wearing a stylish bow tie! Demi Lovato and BTS also looked elegant in black on the carpet.
The awards night is going to be a big competition with artists like Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Sam Smith vying for the coveted Moonperson statue in multiple categories.
This year, the Artist of the Year nominations only went to women, Beyonce and Shakira, while Ed Sheeran is the only male artist competing for Best Pop, up against singers like Pink and Dua Lipa.

Interestingly, there are 16 tracks nominated for the Song of Summer category this year, out of which three are from the “Barbie” movie.
It was reported that *NSYNC is getting back together for a reunion at this year’s awards ceremony.
Three members have been spotted in NYC in the last few days, and JC Chasez was pictured on a private jet.
Although a source close to the group says they won’t sing, their appearance is still an exciting reunion for fans.
The night is sure to be filled with electrifying performances from artists like Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, who is also the host of this year’s event, and Måneskin, to name a few.
A big medley is also planned in honour of 50 years of hip-hop, featuring performances from DMC, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, LL Cool J, and more.
