Following the ongoing investigation into the death of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba professionally known as Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of Balogun Olamilekan Eletu popularly known as Sam Larry.
CRUX NEWS recalls that Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Record label owned by Naira Marley died at 27 on September 12, 2023 under controversial circumstances.
Sam Larry, an associate of Naira Marley was accused of having a hand in the death of Mohbad after a video of him and his men disrupting Mohbad’s video shoot with Zlatan Ibile surfaced on social media.
Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made the announcement on his official X, on Thursday night.
He wrote: “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with ongoing investigation.”
This coming hours after Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian Record label, in a statement on his Instagram page said he is making arrangements to return to Nigeria to honour police invitation following the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.
