The minister of works, Dave Umahi has on Thursday barred workers from entering the Ministry.

The minister reportedly prevented workers from gaining access to the ministry due to their lateness.

Although, the gate which housed housing and works ministry, was eventually opened for the workers, they refused to enter on the premise that the minister addresses them first.

The workers accused the minister og high-handedness, claiming that he stopped engineers and directors from doing their work, and has been breaking public service rules since his appointment, by bringing in consultants to run the affairs of the ministry.

The protesting staff were chanting “Umahi Must Go”, and lamented that they reside far away, making punctuality to work difficult.
