However, his coach at the Argentina national team, Lionel Scaloni, has recently revealed that Messi has no plans to retire from football anytime soon.
Despite completing his first season with MLS team Inter Miami CF and gearing up for his second year in the US, Messi has not made any official announcement regarding his retirement.
In a recent Twitch interview with Christian Vieri, Scaloni encouraged Messi to continue playing football for as long as he can, praising his exceptional talent and enduring ability on the pitch.

“We tell him [Messi] to play for as long as he can. He has proved that he doesn’t have an end. You don’t know when he will give [it] up. It’s incredible,” Scaloni said during the interview.
Under Scaloni’s leadership, Messi led Argentina to victory in the World Cup in Qatar, completing a remarkable feat in his illustrious career.
With this success, Messi has now lifted every possible trophy in his career.
It remains to be seen how many more years Messi will continue to play at the highest level, but his coach and fans alike will undoubtedly be hoping to see him on the pitch for many years to come.
