Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s head coach, has announced that Antony is being considered for the upcoming Champions League match against Galatasaray, which is scheduled for tomorrow night.
The Brazilian player was allowed to take a leave of absence to deal with allegations of abuse against him, which he has always denied, and recently attended a voluntary interview with Greater Manchester Police.
After the interview, Manchester United confirmed that Antony was available for selection and could return to training.
Ten Hag confirmed that Antony was back in team training on Monday and could possibly feature against the Turkish champions.
The coach stated that they would make a decision based on the player’s condition and performance during training.
During the pre-match press conference, the coach also revealed that defender Lisandro Martinez would undergo a second operation on a foot injury.
Despite United’s recent loss to Crystal Palace, Ten Hag believes that his team is “moving forward” and is optimistic about their performance in the upcoming match.
