The defeat raises concerns about United’s ability to progress beyond the group stage, having already lost their opening match against Bayern Munich.

While Onana will face scrutiny for his mistake, much of the blame can also be attributed to the defence who failed to contain Galatasaray’s attacking threat.
The result also highlights the alarming form of United under Erik ten Hag, who has seen his team lose more matches than they have won so far this season.
It remains to be seen how United will bounce back from this setback in their pursuit of European glory.
