Operatives of Delta State Police Command have apprehended one Augustine Gola Ejowo at the Ovwian/Aladja Division over the alleged murder of his forty-five-year-old girlfriend, Felicia Catibekpe.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass, confirmed the arrest at a press briefing held in Asaba on Wednesday.
The CP disclosed that the 50-year-old suspect was arrested on June 21, 2023 when he reported himself at the Police Station.
“The suspect stated that he murdered the woman during the course of a disagreement using a machete,” CP Abass said.
He added that the Suspect is in custody and investigation is ongoing.
