The Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has taken decisive action by apprehending 40 suspected criminals in various troubled areas around Yaba following public complaints about attacks on pedestrians and theft.
The RRS, in collaboration with the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, conducted the operation late on Tuesday night, resulting in the arrest of the suspects at approximately 10:00 p.m.
According to a post shared via the RRS’s official channels on Friday, May 3rd, the raid was prompted by numerous reports from concerned citizens regarding the activities of criminals targeting passersby and robbing them of their possessions.
This swift and coordinated effort underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to maintaining peace and security in the community, sending a clear message that criminal behavior will not be tolerated.
