Dino Melaye, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated why he will not contest the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate in the just concluded Kogi governorship election, Usman Ododo.
Melaye, during an interview on Wednesday, stated that the Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary Nigerians.
“Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it’s now a department under the All Progressives Congress,” Melaye said.
“Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary? I’ve lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”
Recall that Ododo was declared the winner of the November 11 governorship poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Ododo defeated Melaye and Social Democratic Party, SDP’s Muri Ajaka to emerge as the winner.
