Ten persons identified similarly as Very Important Personalities (VIPs), on Friday escaped death when the private jet they were travelling in crash-landed at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident occurred around 11 am on Friday when the jet with registration number N580KR overshot the runway into the nearby bush.
Firefighters and rescue officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) were immediately deployed to the scene, and there were no reported deaths or casualties.
The jet reportedly flew from Abuja; and had landed safely before it overshot the runway.
Crux News recalls a similar incident in November when the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu escaped death when a plane he was on board crash-landed at the same airport.
