The program’s effectiveness echoes the words of Abidemi Marquis, Director of Sports at Nigeria’s Defense Headquarters. “Eighty per cent of our soldiers involved in this program are getting better,” he shared. “Their outlook on life is positive. The recovery program has given them a chance to improve their self-esteem, mental health, and emotional intelligence.”
