The Nigerian film industry is once again in mourning following the announcement of the death of veteran Yoruba actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi, known as Ogunjimi, which emerged on social media last Friday.
The news of Ogunjimi’s passing was shared by fellow actor Kunle Afod via an Instagram post.
In his tribute, Afod expressed, “We did our best, but God loved you more. May your soul rest in peace. Farewell, Baba Ogunjimi.”
Ogunjimi was renowned for his intense portrayals, notably as a warlord in Yoruba films.
He was also well-known for playing the role of a wizard in movies that featured witchcraft themes.
