A tragic incident occurred in Gwoza town, Borno State, as a female suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) at a wedding venue, resulting in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries.
According to a survivor, the attacker, who was carrying a baby on her back, infiltrated the wedding at Tashan Mararaba near the Fire Service in Gwoza town on Saturday and detonated the explosive device.

The exact number of casualties remains unknown at this time, but several injured individuals are currently receiving medical attention at the General Hospital in Gwoza.
As of now, security agencies have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
