Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, is in court seeking a variation of his bail conditions.
Emefiele is standing trial on six counts related to procurement fraud amounting to N1.2 billion.
This marks the first appearance in court without armed security personnel accompanying him.
Emefiele, released from the Kuje Custodial Centre on December 23, 2023, 34 days after being granted bail, is requesting a review of certain terms of his bail conditions.
The case is currently before Justice Hamza Muazu of the FCT High Court.
