Dangote Petroleum Refinery has declared an additional decrease in diesel prices from 1,200 to 1,000 naira per litre.
Three weeks ago, the refinery began distributing the product at the significantly lower price of 1,200 naira per litre, marking a reduction of over 30 percent from the earlier market rate of approximately 1,600 naira per litre.
The company’s statement on Tuesday evening highlighted that the substantial price cut in diesel is anticipated to have a favorable impact on various economic sectors and contribute to the reduction of the country’s elevated inflation rate.
